The Congressional oversight panel has released a collection of roughly 70 images secured from the holdings of former convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the third disclosure from a tranche of more than 95,000 images the body has acquired from Epstein's property. It contains photographs of quotes from the book Lolita scrawled across a woman's body, and censored photos of female international passports.

This action occurs hours before the 19 December cut-off for the Justice Department to disclose every records associated with its inquiry into Epstein.

"These latest photographs raise more queries about precisely what the DOJ has in its holdings," remarked the ranking member of the panel, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photographs Made Public

Some of the images made public on Thursday show Epstein in discussion with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates standing next to a woman whose identity is censored; Steve Bannon seated at a desk opposite Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the latest high-net-worth, prominent men to be pictured in Epstein property photographs published by the oversight panel - formerly disclosed photos also depict US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, previous US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Being pictured in the images is is not considered proof of any illegal activity, and several of the photographed individuals have stated they were in no way implicated in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a press release released with the photo release, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate did not supply background information or timeframes for the images.

"Photos were picked to provide the public with openness into a typical cross-section of the images acquired from the property, and to give perspectives into Epstein's associates and his exceptionally troubling actions," the announcement states.

The publication also contains multiple photos of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita inscribed in ink across several locations of a female's body, including her torso, feet, hip, and spine. Lolita narrates the story of a minor who was groomed by a middle-aged literature professor.

An example of a passage from the novel scrawled across a woman's upper body states, "Lo-lee-ta: the end of the tongue traveling of three steps down the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a number of photos of women's identification and identification documents from nations globally, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the data on the IDs, such as names and DOBs, is obscured but the House Oversight Committee said in a press release that the passports are associated with "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were engaging".

A further photo shows Epstein positioned at a workstation in close proximity surrounded by three women whose identities have been obscured - a first has her hand on Epstein's chest under his garment, and another is crouching to view a nearby device. Epstein can be seen to be helping the third individual put on a bracelet.

An additional photograph released is a image of digital messages from an unnamed sender who claims they have been sent "some girls" and are demanding "$1000 per girl".

Image Publication Arrives Before DOJ Deadline

The body has many thousands of photos in its possession from the Epstein holdings, which are "both disturbing and mundane," its press release on this week explained.

The oversight panel first issued a subpoena to the estate of Epstein, who passed away in a New York prison in 2019 while facing trial on accusations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The images and files the Epstein property submitted to the panel are separate from what is largely called "Epstein-related records". Those are records in the Department of Justice's possession associated with its own probe into Epstein.

Pursuant to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Donald Trump signed into law in November, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to disclose its documents. The extent of what is included in the DOJ's records is unknown, and it's likely that a large amount of the information will be heavily redacted, akin to the committee's documents
