Defiant Nancy does not fear the sack however supporters display anger after derby defeat.
The under-pressure manager insisted he did not fear the sack, asserting, “The team is extremely close to things turning around,” despite sliding worryingly close to the exit with a heavy loss to Rangers.
Another Meltdown Results in Old Firm Loss
The home side were ahead the visitors at the break but a second-half capitulation enabled the Gers to draw level on points with the current league title holders. The French coach, who was appointed in December, has now overseen six losses in his first eight fixtures.

“The performance we had at certain moments was exceptionally high. That happened. I wouldn't talk like that if it was untrue. But that’s why, regarding outcomes, I mentioned it's a repeating pattern. That’s why I believe we are nearly there to a shift in fortunes. But for the moment: the fine margins.”
“I saw a lot of encouraging signs that we did, as was the case today. But now is performing for 90 minutes. My outlook would be different the same. Therefore I firmly believe we will manage to turn things around.”
The Rangers Boss Response
The victorious boss played down talk of a serious challenge in spite of what appeared to be a huge result. “We take it game by game, and we can gradually build momentum,” he said. “The belief in the group is outstanding.”
